A Quick Look at DesignTek

DesignTek information on this page is based on details supplied by the manufacturer or distributor, plus any OE references provided with the parts.

Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche

Where DesignTek is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.

  • Typical reasons to choose these parts include fixing common wear points, returning a Porsche to standard performance, and managing running costs on older cars.
  • Common triggers for replacement are leaks, knocks, worn mounts, poor ride quality, and intermittent operation of affected components.
  • Watch for real-world symptoms such as hesitation, flat spots, noisy or restricted intake, warning lights, rough running, and reduced fuel economy.
  • Before upgrading or tuning, ensure underlying mechanical issues are resolved rather than masked by new parts.
  • When servicing or modifying, inspect adjacent components at the same time to avoid repeat labour or missed wear items.
  • Check what fittings, seals, and hardware are included with each part and add any required extras so the job can be completed in one go.

Browse by Category

If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.

Engine Tuning — Engine tuning components for Porsche are typically used to improve drivability, throttle response, and power delivery, or to support other hardware changes where listed.

  • Confirm the engine’s health and check for boost or vacuum leaks before any tuning work.
  • Review sensor data, oil and coolant temperatures, and fuel delivery to ensure the car is mechanically sound.

Air Filters — Air filters for Porsche applications help maintain correct airflow while protecting the engine from dust and debris, with changes usually driven by routine service or performance goals.

  • Replace filters more frequently if the car is used in dusty or harsh environments.
  • Avoid over-oiling reusable filters to reduce the risk of sensor contamination where fitted.

Air Induction Kits — Air induction kits for Porsche are selected to alter airflow and sound and, where design allows, to reduce restriction or manage intake temperatures as part of a wider tuning package.

  • Ensure the kit maintains proper sealing and sensible intake air temperatures to protect drivability.
  • Check mounting security and routing after installation to minimise rattles, hot-air ingestion, or water exposure.

Service Parts — Service parts for Porsche are changed as part of scheduled maintenance to protect the engine and supporting systems, helping preserve performance, reliability, and efficiency.

  • Use correct-specification oils, filters, plugs, and fluids and keep a clear record of what has been replaced.
  • Shorten service intervals if the car sees frequent short journeys or hard use.

Air Filters — Replacement and performance air filters for Porsche applications are used to maintain clean, consistent airflow and can also support specific performance or motorsport needs where appropriate.

  • Inspect the airbox or housing when changing the filter and ensure the seal seats evenly all the way around.
  • If a performance filter is used, follow the maker’s cleaning and re-oiling instructions carefully.

Can these be used on cars which use wheel BOLTS ? Yes you can use this type of wheel spacers on cars which use wheel bolts like Porsche Boxster, 996, 997, Panamera and Cayenne, you will need to use the factory bolts to bolt wheel spacers to the wheel hub and then place the wheels over the new wheel studs that are stick out. Use the ½ type wheel nuts to secure your wheels.

For More Information CLICK HERE

Price is for a Pairs with 10 open ended wheel nuts.

Sizes from 15mm (30mm Total wider) to 75mm

For early 911's / 944 / 928 cars with studs coming out of the wheel hub theses will bolt straight on, they can also be used on the later cars which used bolts, just bolt the spacers on using the existing bolts and then use the nuts provided in the box to put the wheels on.
On 924s and 944s you may only use them on rear axles. To fit these spacers to front hubs you would have to machine inner lip on the spacer.
