All bobbins are machined from a single piece of stainless steel. This prevents unsightly corrosion and ensures the outer ring continues to float freely even after years of exposure to the elements. This means that EBC Racing's 2-piece floating discs offer a low maintenance solution that are at home on both the public roads and the race track. Each bobbin location also features an anti-rattle spring clip, meaning these discs are totally silent in operation and do not have the 'off brake disc rattle' that plagues many other full race 2-piece disc systems.

EBC Racing's RP-1™ compound is an ultra-high performance track and race pad designed for high performance vehicles driven hard on track. RP-1™ has a very stable friction coefficient up to and beyond 750 degrees centigrade, making it an excellent performer for even the most demanding vehicle applications.
Due to its high friction coefficient, RP-1™ is not Reg 90 homologated for road use within Europe and is therefore illegal for use on the public road. However, unlike many other race pads on the market, RP-1™ offers good cold friction meaning it can be safely used as a road pad for non-European markets where Reg 90 homologation is not mandatory.
RP-1™ boasts excellent pad wear life and extremely low disc wear. RP-1™ has a progressive pedal feel with unrivalled modulation. RP-1™ does not have the snatchy pedal feel or high levels of noise often associated with other race pads on the market.
