EPS
EPS for Porsche
Based in Miami FL, EPS was born by the desire to produce quality Porsche products to solve some of the issues that poorly manufactured parts left the consumers to address. For over 35 years, we have offered products that are both upgrades and permanent solutions to catastrophic failure of crucial parts. From the initial assessment to continuous improvement, we select the best suppliers and make it our aim to progress together and create innovations in the automotive industry.
Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche
Where EPS is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.
- EPS components are typically chosen to restore steering and suspension function when wear starts to affect feel and safety. Real-world reasons include fixing play, reducing noise, and returning the car to predictable handling.
- Steering play, knocking, clunks on lock, wandering, uneven tyre wear, and vibration. Issues are often worsened by worn bushes/top mounts or poor alignment.
- Allow for a full alignment check after suspension or steering work, and consider replacing parts in pairs where it affects left/right balance.
- Inspect adjacent joints and bushes at the same time, as multiple worn parts can overlap and mask the true source of noise or play.
Browse by Category
If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.
Engine Rebuild Parts — Engine rebuild parts are typically changed during a planned rebuild or when symptoms point to internal wear such as low compression, heavy oil use, persistent oil leaks, abnormal noises, or contamination found during inspection. Renewing critical components while the engine is apart reduces the chance of repeat strip-downs and helps restore long-term reliability.
- Confirm you really need a rebuild by checking compression, leak-down results, borescope inspection, and oil/filter condition before committing.
- Plan to replace chains, guides, seals, gaskets, hardware, and other hard-to-access wear items "while you’re in there" to make the most of the labour.
Engine Tuning — Porsche engine tuning parts are used to improve drivability, throttle response, and power delivery, or to support hardware changes such as intake, exhaust, or forced induction upgrades. Owners also turn to tuning to smooth out flat spots and poor running once the mechanical condition of the engine has been confirmed as healthy.
- Before tuning, verify good compression, stable fueling, correct sensor readings, and that there are no boost or vacuum leaks; tuning cannot fix mechanical faults.
- Monitor coolant and oil temperatures and data logs after changes to ensure the calibration remains safe for how the car is used.
Suspension & Axle — Suspension and axle components are replaced to restore handling precision, ride comfort, braking stability, and overall safety. On Porsche models this often means renewing arms, bushes, dampers, and joints when age or mileage leads to knocks, wandering, or uneven tyre wear.
- Expect symptoms such as knocking over bumps, uneven tyre wear, vibration, pulling under braking, and sagging ride height when suspension parts are tired.
- Have the alignment checked after significant suspension work and consider replacing items in axle pairs to keep behaviour balanced side-to-side.
Track Control Arms FRONT — Front track control arms are replaced to bring front suspension geometry, steering feel, and braking stability back to factory intent. Switching to an EPS arm can also be part of a broader front-end refresh where sharper response and durability are desired.
- Typical signs include knocking over bumps, vague steering, pulling under braking, uneven tyre wear, and shimmy or wandering at speed.
- Always budget for a proper four-wheel alignment afterwards and inspect related parts such as drop links, top mounts, and track rods at the same time.
Track Control Arm REAR — Rear track control arms are renewed to maintain stable rear wheel alignment and predictable handling, especially under acceleration and mid-corner load. Worn bushes or joints can let the rear of the car move around, which is noticeable on both road and track.
- Look for rear-end steer sensations, instability over bumps, uneven rear tyre wear, knocking from the back, and poor traction when accelerating.
- After rear arm work, a geometry check is essential, and it is wise to assess other rear links and subframe bushes because multiple worn parts often share similar symptoms.

The innovative Drive Shaft Clamping Center Support (DSCCS) by EPS is the only true Permanent fix to premature bearing support failures. This Patented device was developed by our team of technicians whom over the course of 2 years were able to create what is now the end-all solution to failing Bearing Supports.
The Clamping Center Support is the ONLY device that can be installed without removing the Drive Shaft from the vehicle or without requiring the disassembly of the Drive Shaft. Why is this so important?
- By not having to disassemble the Drive Shaft means that NO re-balancing of the shaft is required. All other methods of Bearing Support replacement require this expensive and lengthy procedure. Failure to balance the once disassembled Drive Shaft would result in major vibrations.
- Our Clamping Bearing Support installs easily to your Drive Shaft, using basic household tools, in less than an hour. This is a Do-it-Yourself repair that will save you very costly repair bills and unnecessary time down. Should you choose to have a professional install it, the labor times will be much less than Drive Shaft replacement or any other method of repair.
The cause of the premature Drive Shaft Support failure is a direct result of too much continuous stress imposed upon the rubber in the mount. This is more the product of the Drive Shaft design than the quality of the rubber material in the mount. Unfortunately, by merely replacing the Bearing Support with another similar rubber mount you can expect much of the same results experienced with the factory rubber mount.
There is only One certain and definite fix.
The EPS Drive Shaft Clamping Center Support for the Porsche Cayenne, Volkswagen Touareg & Audi Q7 takes a completely different approach in solving this, all too common, problem. Getting away from the proven failure-prone solid rubber vibration dampener, we instead use multiple, hollow Silicone Pods. This design is much better equipped to withstand the constant compressing and stretching forces generated while in use. The silicone material also does a much better job of handling the heat and atmospheric conditions located under your vehicle. Even better, although we have over Two Years of use on our test vehicle and the DSCCS is still functioning flawlessly, in the rare event that any of the Pods on the DSCCS fail, they are very easily replaced in minutes.
Key Benefits :
• Permanently repairs the notorious bearing support
• DIY installation - typically in under one hour using household tools
• No need to remove or disassemble your current Drive Shaft
• No need to re-balance your Drive Shaft
• No need to send in your faulty Drive Shaft
• No core charges
• Lightweight - Spend less on shipping
• Will pay for itself in labor & shipping costs
• Save money & downtime

Porsche Ims Intermediate Shaft Bearing Upgrade - Eternal Fix with Oil Pressure Feed - 62 MM - Closed Engine Permanently Fix Your Intermediate Shaft With The Eternal Fix! Unlike Failure Prone Ball Bearings, Eps Uses A Patented Cylindrical Bearing With Thrust Control.
Prevent future catastrophic engine failure permanently with the only true Eternal Fix for the notorious Porsche intermediate shaft bearing. Unlike the other failure-prone ball bearing products that the original IMS and other upgrades on the market use, EPS uses a patented cylindrical bearing with thrust control that can be pressed directly into the back of the engine without disassembly. The cylindrical bearings have over 12 times the load capacity of other ball bearing solutions making the EPS IMS bearing the clear choice. Backed by a full 5-year warranty and includes an oil feed modification kit. Order yours today!
WHAT MAKES OUR SOLUTION DIFFERENT?
Roller bearings are not intended for carrying large axial loads. Similar to failure-prone ball bearings, when cylindrical roller bearings are used for thrust control, the roller becomes compromised due to the limited surface contact area on the sides of the rollers. The results of using a cylindrical bearing for thrust control will be similar to all other ball bearing solutions.
In our patented system, we use a 15mm cylindrical bearing with thrust control that allows for the separation of the axial load from the radial load. Our roller bearings do NOT carry the axis load (thrust control) on the side, which leaves the roller free to carry only the radial load (main load). The axial load is carried exclusively on the entire permitter of the outer race. This results in a bearing that is not overloaded and will last the lifetime of the engine.
EPS recommends using this product in conjunction to the Rear Main #8 Seal and Housing

IMS Eternal Fix retro fit kit installs in-car without removal or disassembly of the engine required. The Cylindrical Bearing with Thrust Control design has a load capacity 5 times greater than the inferior, failure prone, Ball Bearing solutions on the market!
Why Cylindrical is Best?
Cylindrical Bearings have very high load bearing capacity, 5 times more than Ball Bearing. Cylindrical Bearings are used in, High Temp & Low Viscosity Lubrication such as Automatic Transmissions. They can carry extreme lateral pressure without wear to the friction surfaces. This is because the bearing friction surface is flat not concave.
IMS Intermediate Shaft Bearing Upgrade – EPS Eternal Fix (M96 / Early M97.01) Prevent future IMS-related engine damage with the EPS Eternal Fix for the well-known Porsche IMS bearing issue. Unlike common ball-bearing upgrades, EPS uses a patented cylindrical roller bearing with thrust control, engineered to separate axial (thrust) loads from radial (running) loads for long-term durability.
What makes EPS different?
Many bearing upgrades can be compromised when thrust loads act on the bearing rollers. EPS’s patented design ensures the rollers carry radial load only, while the axial load is carried around the full perimeter of the outer race. This reduces overload conditions and delivers a solution engineered to last the life of the engine.
Key benefits
Patented cylindrical bearing with thrust control (not a ball-bearing solution)
In-car installation: designed to be pressed into the rear of the engine without engine disassembly EPS states significantly increased load capacity vs typical ball-bearing upgrades (often quoted as up to 12x)
Backed by an EPS 5-year warranty
Recommended to install alongside the Rear Main (#8) Seal and Housing
Important fitment note (997 3.8L M97.01) Engine numbers up to M97/01 68509790 use the older IMS bearing (fits). Engine number M97/01 68509791 onwards has the larger revised IMS (does not fit). Please verify engine number before ordering.
