A Quick Look at Porsche
Porsche information on this page is based on details supplied by the manufacturer or distributor, plus any OE references provided with the parts.
Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche
Where Porsche is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.
- Typical reasons people replace these parts include maintaining originality, keeping factory specification, and choosing the latest genuine revisions for peace of mind.
- Common real-world issues behind many Porsche repairs are age and mileage: oil leaks, cooling system fatigue, brake and suspension wear, corrosion and electrical faults from moisture or heat cycling.
- Before ordering, confirm part numbers against VIN or option/PR codes, especially for safety‑critical or complex components.
- When upgrading, decide whether you want pure originality or performance changes, as some aftermarket options may suit specific goals better than genuine.
- For bigger jobs, replace related seals, hardware and consumables at the same time to avoid repeat labour and compatibility issues.
- Where available, follow the manufacturer’s fitting and bedding‑in guidance to get the best performance and longevity.

This guide bush serves as both a locator and locking element in the handbrake mechanism. It helps guide the movement of the lever and maintain the correct locking position when the handbrake is engaged, providing smooth, consistent operation and secure holding force.
Why replacement matters:
• With age and wear, the original guide bush can deform, corrode, or lose its locking tension, resulting in a loose or unstable handbrake lever.
• Installing a genuine Porsche replacement restores proper engagement and precise lever movement—ensuring reliable parking brake function and preserving factory authenticity.

The dashboard for the Porsche 911 from model years 1969 to 1975. It is fitted with a loudspeaker grille and does not have a centre vent.
A complex manufacturing process that lives up to the promise of goods Made in Germany and intensive tests ensure that this Genuine Spare Part is of the highest quality - quality that is immediately visible to the observer.
The ravages of time inevitably take their toll on the dashboard. Strong sunlight, freezing cold and fluctuating humidity levels attack the surface and the material. The dashboard can therefore crack at critical points over years of use. It also fades and becomes brittle. It loses its good looks. Porsche Classic has been proactive and taken steps to prevent such unwanted side effects of an extremely long vehicle service life. The aim is to achieve the best possible results in intensive tests and in the production process with respect to long service life and original character.
Intensive tests were conducted during the development process and ensured that the dashboards were fit for day-to-day usability before the start of production. As a first step, the component was measured photographically using defined points. The dashboard was then exposed to constantly changing, extreme climatic conditions over the course of several days in a climatic chamber. Any changes in the measurement points were then identified in a second measurement process. This allowed conclusions to be drawn regarding possible distortion of the dashboard as well as the formation of bubbles or cracks over the years. On the basis of the results, the component was optimised in production to counteract distortion as well as the formation of bubbles and cracks
