About Powerflex

Powerflex for Porsche

EPTG Ltd (European Polyurethane Technologies Group) was formed in the UK in 1996 to take advantage of the significant advances made in the development of polyurethane in recent years. The company has wide experience in automotive suspension and chassis systems and combining these design skills with advanced polyurethane manufacturing techniques led to the development of a wide range of high performance, Porsche automotive polyurethane components now known the world over by the product name POWERFLEX.The company operates in a self-contained state-of-the-art factory, manufacturing everything in-house.

Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche

Where Powerflex is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.

  • Powerflex polyurethane bushes are chosen when Porsche owners want tighter handling, sharper response, and longer-lasting bush material than ageing rubber. Real-world reasons include curing vague steering, reducing wheel hop, improving alignment stability, and refreshing suspension without replacing whole arms in some cases.
  • Increased NVH (noise/vibration/harshness), squeaks if not lubricated correctly, and binding if installed improperly. Poor ride or uneven behaviour is often caused by fitting too-stiff bushes in the wrong locations, worn mounts elsewhere, or skipping alignment after changes.
  • Choose compounds and locations carefully to balance response against comfort, especially on road-driven Porsche models.
  • Use the supplied or approved lubricant on Powerflex bushes and torque fixings at normal ride height to minimise the risk of squeaks and binding.
  • Target the worst wear points first rather than replacing every bush at once, and plan a full alignment check after suspension changes.

Browse by Category

If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.

Suspension & Axle — Suspension and axle components for Porsche models, replaced to restore safe, predictable handling, braking stability and ride comfort where wear or age has affected performance.

Powerflex Polyurethane Bushes — Dedicated Powerflex polyurethane bushes for Porsche, used to tighten chassis control and replace ageing rubber so geometry stays more consistent under load.

Suspension Upgrades — Porsche suspension upgrade parts such as dampers, springs, anti-roll bars and mounts, allowing you to tune handling, body control and ride to suit road or track use.

Control Arms Front — Front control arms and related components for Porsche, replaced to correct geometry, cure knocks and restore precise steering response.

NOTE: Due to the vehicle's age and some ambiguity in the official catalogue, we highly recommend measuring your anti-roll bar before ordering to ensure you select the correct size.

The Powerflex Range:

Road Series (Road & Fast Road) - POWERFLEX Road Series bushes improve your cars’ road holding and chassis performance by controlling the amount of unwanted flex in the suspension. This means the suspension is doing what it is supposed to. It means your tyres have greater contact with the road at all times, therefore, improving safety and performance. Correctly formulated polyurethane is as good if not better at noise, vibration and harshness suppression when compared to worn rubber. Our Road bushes offer Prolonged tyre life, Improved performance, Increase safety, and Greater cost-effectiveness.

Black Series (Track & Motorsport) - POWERFLEX Black Series bushes are manufactured using our Black 95 Shore A compound to provide maximum control of chassis geometry. They are designed for the Track, ready to Race and are engineered to be the best. This compound can be up to 80% more resistant to load than standard rubber and 25% stiffer than our purple performance material. If your requirements are purely for the ultimate in handling and chassis performance then Powerflex Black Series are unique, offering the most precise and accurate alignment for your chassis.

Heritage Collection (Classic & Restoration Use) - POWERFLEX Heritage Collection bushes are manufactured using modern-day materials with properties biased for the road. These dark grey coloured bushes will improve any collector’s car, whilst retaining the same standard appearance of a rubber bush. Our new range speaks to the growing demand for quality replacement parts that have an aesthetic in keeping with’ the look of the original part and restoration project as a whole whilst carrying all of the performance and longevity benefits offered by Powerflex’s unique blend of polyurethane. Going a step further than simply using the same material and durometer of hardness for all of our parts, each part location has its own shore designation to ensure improved suspension performance without discomfort or vibration, all of which ship in our new ‘Classic’ Dark Grey colour suitable for all road-based applications.

Powerflex Materials:

The materials used by Powerflex are colour coded to make them easily identifiable. Below explains the shore rating and their common uses.

Red 65A – Used for our Universal exhaust mounts and diesel engine mounts.
Yellow 70A – Mainly used for engine mounts, diff mounts and subframe mounts or areas where the bush needs a lot of movement and absorption.
Purple 80A – Our most common material. This is used in most areas of the suspension and provides the right mix between performance and compliance.
Black 95A – Our hardest material. This is used mostly for our Black Series range or in our Road Series where the vehicle’s standard suspension demands require us to use this hardness of material i.e. in areas of high load.

Grey* - Used specifically for our Heritage Collection. This can be any of the durometers mentioned but will always be the same as the equivalent part from our Road Series i.e. if it’s Purple 80A in our Road Series, it’d be Grey 80A in our Heritage Collection. On our Road Series and Heritage Collection kits, we can use a mix of all 4 of our materials. During the development stages, we test the original bush and see what the requirements are for strength and movement. At that point, we then decide which of our materials would be best suited. We don’t believe in a one material suits all rule. Manufacturers will do the same and will use different shore rubbers, however, it’s not as noticeable as all rubber bushes look visually similar.

Lateral support clamp anti roll bar.

powerflex

Anti-Roll Bars (ARB’s) play an important role in a vehicle’s suspension system, helping to reduce body roll by transferring cornering load from one side of a vehicle to the other.

Often mounted to the vehicle’s chassis with rubber bushes, these bushes ensure the bar works as intended. To prevent the anti-roll bar from moving laterally within its mounts when turning, OE manufacturers will either bond the bushes to the bar, add dead-stops to the bar itself, or rely solely on the clamping pressure of the rubber.

But what happens when those bushes wear and need to be replaced? Often anti-roll bars with bonded bushes come as a costly complete assembly, so the alternative is to fit a more cost-effective unbonded polyurethane replacement, like the many we offer.

In most cases, friction from the bush will prevent any side-to-side bar movement. Still, when turning aggressively or cornering at higher speeds, a laterally shifting anti-roll bar decreases the efficiency and effectiveness of the bar, changing the dynamics of your suspension system in unpredictable ways. It also poses the risk of the bar fouling on other areas of the vehicle or suspension system.

Engine inlet sleeve kit - Powerflex.
Sold as a set of 6 x sleeves, 12 x hose clamps

Fits:
Porsche 996 GT3 / GT3 RS - 1999 to 2004
Porsche 997.1 GT3 / GT3 RS - 2007 to 2008

Now a mainstay of Porsche‘s illustrious 911 range, the first generation GT3 debuted in 1999 as a stripped-down version of its 5th generation 996.

Lighter, more precise and with an engine derived from Porsche’s GT1 supercar, this immaculate combination set petrol-fuelled pulses racing and turned an accomplished but regular sports car into an all-out track weapon.

Fast forward some 24 years, and the 996 GT3 and later 997.1 GT3 remain as exciting today as they were then with owners wishing to keep them that way, so the last thing you’d want is your precision-built homologation special to lose power due to something as simple as an old, cracked rubber intake sleeve losing its seal, leading to idling issues and poor running due to incorrect fueling.

Supplied as an engine set of 6, our new PFR57-526K Engine Intake Sleeve Kit is made in our Dark Grey 80A polyurethane material for an OE aesthetic with increased durability and reliability over the equivalent rubber items

Each sleeve is designed and engineered to seal and link both sides of the intake system, with the supplied high-quality, stainless-steel hose clamps ensuring a tight fit and consistent engine vacuum, making them a must-have for any engine build

Taking advantage of the OEM chassis jacking point, PF75-1001 uses a Red 65A durometer polyurethane adaptor bung that compresses into the centre mounting hole, allowing the jack pad to be fitted prior to lifting, making the process significantly easier. Whether you are an owner or regularly work on the Porsche 992, this is a handy boot or toolbox companion offering perfect lifting peace of mind.
