Vibra-technics
Vibra-technics for Porsche
It was realised in the early 1990's that there were some fast and expensive sports cars being built with fairly crude engine mountings and that little was available for the specialist car manufacturer when it came to a design and supply service for small numbers of engine mounting systems. Vibra-Technics Automotive was originally established to fill that gap. Subsequently racing and fast road saloon car mounts were developed for a variety of makes and this has grown the business
Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche
Where Vibra-technics is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.
- Typical reasons to choose these mounts include improving shift feel, reducing drivetrain movement, curing clunks, and giving more stable throttle response on Porsche models where the original mounts have softened.
- Common symptoms that prompt replacement are increased cabin vibration and noise if a stiffer mount is chosen, along with more noticeable driveline shunt where only one mount is renewed or other mounts are already tired.
- Expect some increase in vibration with stiffer specifications; select the road-focused versions for mixed street use and consider replacing engine and gearbox mounts together for a more consistent result.
- After fitting uprated mounts, check exhaust hangers and clearances carefully, as the changed drivetrain position can alter how the system sits under the car.

Engine Rebuild Parts — Engine rebuild components are used when inspection or testing shows internal wear, loss of compression, heavy oil use, leaks, or abnormal noises, and are typically renewed together while the Porsche engine is apart to avoid repeat strip-downs.
- Before committing to a rebuild, carry out compression and leak-down tests, inspect bores where possible, and check the oil/filter for debris so you understand the root cause.
- When the engine is open, many specialists replace chains, guides, tensioners, key seals, gaskets, and hard-to-access fasteners at the same time.
Engine Mounts — Engine mounts support and isolate the powertrain; they are replaced when age, heat, or contamination leads to excess movement, vibration, clunks, or poor shift feel on your Porsche.
- New mounts can noticeably tighten driveline behaviour, but uprated versions may increase vibration, so choose a specification that matches how you use the car.
- It is often worth replacing gearbox mounts along with engine mounts so the drivetrain sits correctly and loads are shared evenly.
Engine Tuning — Engine tuning parts are chosen to refine drivability, throttle response and performance, or to match other hardware changes, once the underlying Porsche engine and fuel system are confirmed to be healthy.
- Always address mechanical or sensor faults before tuning; calibration changes cannot fix issues such as poor compression, boost leaks, or failing ignition components.
- Pre-tuning checks usually include verifying compression, monitoring fuel trims and temperatures, and confirming there are no vacuum or boost leaks.
Engine / Gearbox Mounts — Combined engine and gearbox mount upgrades give tighter drivetrain control, helping reduce movement, knocks, and gearshift issues on higher-mileage or performance-focused Porsche models.
- Replacing collapsed, split, or leaking mounts can reduce thumps when taking up drive, improve shift precision, and lessen exhaust contact with the body.
- Mounts are commonly renewed in pairs or as a set so support is even across the drivetrain.

Replaces OEM part number:
477199301 (left) and 477199303 (right)

Fits:
Porsche 924
Replaces both the conventional rubber (LHS) and steel spring (RHS) mounts on the 924 with a durable rubber inserted mount in a strong steel cage giving a direct replacement for the originals. The mount design controls engine movement by less deflection than the original thereby giving the car a 'tighter' feel and reducing stress on exhaust and other ancilliaries under 'performance' driving conditions.
Pleas note: usage of these mounts give an tighter/sportier feel which will have an slight effect on driver comfort on an urban driving cycle.
PRICE IS FOR SINGLE MOUNT
