Wagner Tuning
Wagner Tuning for Porsche
Since 2002 WAGNER TUNING have been developing and producing high quality Porsche engine parts, such as intake manifolds, exhaust manifolds, downpipes and intercooler kits. Recent technology advancements coupled with years of experience ensure optimum performance and highest manufacturing precision for customers. These claims were certified in 2013 by TÜV RHEINLAND for the department of “Produktion” (Manufacturing). The KBA certification is a supplement to the quality management standard DIN EN ISO 9001 This certification confirms our own in-house standards for our range of products by an official and certified institute
Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche
Where Wagner Tuning is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.
- Typical reasons to choose Wagner Tuning Porsche intercooler and cooling upgrades include reducing heat soak, supporting tuned boost levels, improving repeatable performance, and helping to keep intake temperatures under control.
- Many issues around intercooler installations come from weak clamps, old hoses, poor fitment, or not addressing airflow and radiator condition alongside the intercooler.
- Symptoms that point towards charge‑air or boost issues include boost leaks, hose blow‑offs, inconsistent power, and higher intake air temperatures than expected.
- After installing intercooler or boost‑side parts, pressure‑test the system, use quality clamps, and monitor intake air temperatures to confirm everything is working as intended.

If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.
Engine Rebuild Parts — Engine rebuild parts are typically renewed during a planned rebuild or when symptoms point to internal wear, such as loss of compression, heavy oil consumption, persistent leaks, abnormal noises, or contamination in the oil. Many Porsche owners choose to replace bearings, chains, guides, seals, and gaskets together while the engine is apart to avoid repeat strip‑downs and to improve reliability after the rebuild.
- Before committing to a rebuild, carry out compression and leak‑down tests, bore inspection where possible, and oil/filter checks so you understand the root cause of any symptoms.
- When an engine is apart, it is common practice to replace chains, guides, tensioners, key seals, bearings, gaskets, and hard‑to‑reach wear items at the same time.
Turbo Chargers / Intercoolers & Parts — Turbocharger and intercooler parts are changed when there is loss of boost, smoke, oil leaks, excessive shaft play, or poor performance linked to boost control. On Porsche turbo models, components can wear from heat cycles and oil quality, while intercoolers and pipework can leak, crack, or become oil‑contaminated. Owners also upgrade these parts to improve charge cooling, reduce intake temperatures, and support higher boost safely.
- Loss of performance can come from either a boost leak or a worn turbo, so pressure‑testing the system is an important diagnostic step.
- When fitting a replacement or upgraded turbo, it is often recommended to check or renew oil feed and return lines to protect the new unit.
Engine Tuning — Engine tuning parts are chosen to improve drivability, throttle response, power delivery, or to support hardware changes such as intake, exhaust, camshaft or forced‑induction upgrades. On Porsche engines, tuning is usually carried out once the mechanical condition is confirmed healthy, as calibration changes cannot compensate for underlying faults or excessive wear.
Radiators — Radiators are replaced or upgraded when they leak, corrode, become blocked, or can no longer keep coolant temperatures stable. On many Porsches the front radiators are exposed to stone damage and trapped debris, so loss of cooling performance can show up as higher temperatures in traffic or during spirited driving. Performance radiators with increased capacity are also used for track work or hot climates.
Inter Coolers — Intercoolers are replaced when they leak, are physically damaged, or when owners want better charge cooling to support higher boost or more consistent performance. On Porsche turbo models, improved intercooler efficiency helps reduce heat soak, stabilise intake temperatures, and protect against knock under repeated high‑load use.

1 Installation Instruction
This unique Y-charge pipe has been designed for the best possible internal airflow, while using laborious CFD simulation. All bottlenecks of the stock mounted Y-charge pipe were eliminated and adapted to a uniform cross-section. This means, the intake air is no longer unnecessarily blocked by cross-sectional changes and results in a reduction of the pressure drop inside the charge air system. For your vehicle, this manifests itself in a noticeable increase in performance (depending on the software version).
