Wurth for Porsche
Würth products for Porsche at Design911 cover high-quality consumables such as cleaners, sealants, fixings and workshop materials to help you carry out repairs and upgrades to a professional standard
A Quick Look at Wurth
Würth UK is a child company of the Global Würth Group. Where our core business is the trade of fixing and assembly materials, competence and quality. Würth UK has been supporting customers all around the UK for 50 years as of 2023.In the UK Winzer Würth, acquired in 1986, focused on customers from the wood, construction and metalworking trades, whilst Würth UK, a company founded by the Würth Group in 1973, had specialised in the automotive after-sales market. With a view to joining forces to the benefit of all of Würth's customers and pursuant to the Würth Group's philosophy of operating as multi-channel and multi-divisional organisations, the two subsidiaries merged to form a company under the name of Würth UK Ltd back in 2009.
Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche
Where Wurth is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.
- Würth consumables are chosen when Porsche owners want quality workshop products (cleaners, sealants, fasteners, adhesives) to do jobs properly. Real-world reasons include reliable sealing, preventing corrosion, cleaning mating surfaces, and using correct-grade fixings rather than generic hardware.
- Stripped threads, leaks, corrosion, and parts coming loose can result from using the wrong fastener grade, wrong sealant, or poor surface preparation.
- Match any threadlock or sealant to heat and oil exposure, and decide whether you need removable or more permanent strength.
- Preparation is critical: degrease and clean mating surfaces before applying sealants or adhesives, and avoid over-applying products so they can cure correctly.
Browse by Category
If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.
Accessories — Porsche accessories such as mats, storage, styling items and convenience add-ons are typically chosen to improve practicality, comfort or personalisation. Owners often replace or upgrade accessories when existing items look tired, no longer suit their needs, or when they want higher-quality fittings that better match the Porsche interior.
- Always confirm if an accessory is designed for your specific Porsche model and interior type, and whether it can be fitted without drilling or permanent modification.
- Where possible, choose accessories that can be removed without marking trim and that are compatible with factory options such as PCM or Sport Chrono.
Car Fresheners — Car fresheners are used to keep the Porsche interior smelling pleasant, to neutralise odours from moisture, pets or smoke, or simply to create a preferred cabin fragrance. They are commonly replaced when scents fade, when a different style or strength of fragrance is desired, or if cheaper products have caused residue or staining.
- Position fresheners so they cannot leak onto dashboards or trim, and check that mounting methods will not damage vents or interior surfaces.
- Consider fragrance strength, longevity and any allergy sensitivity when choosing a product for regular use.
Engine Cooling — Engine cooling components such as radiators, pumps, hoses and tanks are replaced when there are leaks, overheating, repeated low coolant warnings or visible ageing. Porsche owners also upgrade or renew these parts to improve reliability, as cooling failures can quickly lead to serious engine damage.
- Watch for real-world warning signs like a sweet smell, visible puddles, steam, rising temperature gauge, gurgling after shutdown or coolant residue on undertrays.
- If you suspect leaks or overheating, avoid driving the car hard and have the system pressure-tested to pinpoint issues before damage occurs.
Coolant / Antifreeze — Coolant and antifreeze are changed to maintain corrosion protection, correct freezing and boiling margins, and stable heat transfer. People often replace coolant when the history is unknown, after repeated overheating, when contamination or sludge is visible, or whenever major cooling components are renewed.
- Avoid mixing different coolant types; if you are unsure what is in the system, a full flush and refill with the correct specification is usually safer.
- Even if the level looks fine, corrosion inhibitors degrade over time, so periodic replacement is important to protect radiators, heater cores and internal passages.
Service Parts — Service parts such as filters, spark plugs, belts, wipers and fluids are replaced as routine maintenance to keep a Porsche reliable, efficient and well protected. Establishing a solid service baseline is especially useful on older cars or newly purchased vehicles with incomplete history.
- Many drivability issues like rough running, poor fuel economy or hard starting can be improved by bringing service items up to date rather than chasing individual symptoms.
- Use reputable OEM or equivalent-quality parts to the correct specification, and keep a clear service log to aid future diagnostics and support resale value.
