What This Product Does:
  • The Bosch Alternator is responsible for generating the electrical power your vehicle needs while the engine is running. It converts mechanical energy from the engine into electrical energy to keep the battery charged and supply power to all electrical systems.

Symptoms Of Failure:

  • Warning light on the dash (battery/charging system indicator)
  • Dimming or flickering headlights or interior lights when engine revs change
  • Battery goes flat even when engine has been running (since alternator isn’t charging properly)
  • Electrical accessories becoming erratic or malfunctioning
  • Strange noises from the alternator area (bearing failure, loose pulley, etc.)
  • Voltage reading at battery less than expected (should be ~13.8–14.5 V when engine running)

Why Replacement Matters:
  • Prevent battery damage or repeated failures: If the alternator is under-charging, the battery will repeatedly drain, reducing battery life.
  • Maintain vehicle reliability: A bad alternator can leave you stranded with a dead battery or loss of critical electrical systems.
  • Protect other electrical components: A failing alternator can cause voltage irregularities which may damage sensors, ECU, infotainment systems, etc.
