What Does It Do?

The driveshaft oil seal creates a seal between the rotating output shaft and the gearbox housing.

It keeps transmission oil inside the gearbox while helping prevent dirt and moisture entering around the shaft.

Why Is It Important?

A properly functioning seal helps maintain the correct gearbox oil level and protects internal transmission components.

A damaged seal may cause:

• Transmission oil leaks near the driveshaft
• Reduced gearbox oil levels
• Oil contamination around the output flange
• Increased risk of internal gearbox wear

Why Does It Fail?
