Rear Drop Link (Stabiliser Link)
This OE match rear drop link - also known as a stabiliser link or coupling rod - is a direct replacement for the original Porsche component used in Porsche 996 GT2 and GT3 models. It forms part of the rear anti-roll bar system, linking the stabiliser bar to the suspension control arm.
Sold individually, 2 required per vehicle

Fits:
Porsche 996 GT2 2001 - 2005
Porsche 996 GT3 1999 - 2005

Diagram ref no 5

Manufactured to OE specifications, the drop link features ball joint connections at each end, allowing smooth articulation as the suspension moves. It is engineered from high-strength materials to withstand the dynamic loads and stresses associated with performance driving.

Designed for precise fitment, this component is suitable for both left and right sides and integrates seamlessly into the factory suspension system. It is sold individually, with two required per vehicle for complete rear axle function.

This drop link transfers force between the suspension and the anti-roll bar, helping reduce body roll during cornering. It improves stability, handling precision, and overall vehicle balance - particularly important in high-performance models like the GT2 and GT3.

Function
•  Connects rear anti-roll bar to suspension
•  Transfers load to reduce body roll in corners
•  Maintains balanced suspension movement
•  Supports stability and handling performance
•  Allows articulation via integrated ball joints

Drop links are subject to constant movement, load, and exposure to road conditions. Over time, the internal ball joints can wear, leading to play, noise, and reduced suspension effectiveness. Replacing worn drop links restores proper anti-roll bar function, improves handling, and ensures a stable driving experience.

When to replace
•   Knocking or clunking noise from rear suspension
•   Excessive body roll during cornering
•   Visible wear or play in ball joints
•   Uneven handling or reduced stability
•   During suspension overhaul or upgrade
