Extended hubs are where the hub on the back of the steering wheel is deeper than the standard item. This brings the steering wheel rim closer to the driver.

If you're 1.85m (6 foot) tall or more, you probably know the problem of sitting, shifting and steering properly in the 911 or 914. The original steering wheel in the 911 to 1973 and in the 914 is very large, has a very thin rim and is far away from the driver. 

For drivers who want to sit, shift and steer sensibly in their 911 or 914, we have therefore produced a new steering wheel that meets all the requirements of originality, driving comfort and sportiness.
