Originally, Porsche did not supply the indicator lens separately from the complete rear light unit. Thanks to an innovative development, these replacement lenses allow the original lamp assemblies to be refurbished, offering a far more economical solution while retaining the factory housings.

Installation Tip

The original indicator lenses are permanently bonded to the rear light housing, but they can be removed with care.

A proven method is to place the complete lamp unit in a conventional oven at approximately 100°C for 7-8 minutes to soften the adhesive before carefully removing the old lens. Alternatively, a soldering iron can be used to soften the welded edge.

When installing the replacement lens, ensure a continuous watertight seal around the entire perimeter to prevent future moisture ingress.
