Are you experiencing smoking on start up after your turbo sits for extended periods of time? Odds are you are experiencing what is commonly referred to as oil back flow.
The problem arises from the use of low viscosity oil and the upgraded oil filter cut off mechanism not working as it should. So, you get a slow stream of engine oil which leads to overflow of the oil catch tanks on the turbochargers (pressure side).
If your leaking is due to this reason, our FVD pressure side oil backflow kit incorporates check valves that will prevent the oil from overflowing in the catch tanks and will ultimately stop the smoking on start up.
