Product Information
Rear Quarter window seal.
For non-opening rear quarter windows (fixed glass). This seal creates a tight, weather-proof barrier around the rear quarter glass, preventing water ingress and dust from entering the cabin. It reduces wind noise and vibration by stabilising the glass and isolating the interior from exterior air movement. In addition, it maintains the proper positioning and secure fit of the quarter glass within the vehicle’s body framework.
Fits:Porsche 911 1974 - 1986

This seal plays a critical role in the vehicle’s body integrity and cabin comfort. By sealing the gap between quarter glass and bodywork, it aids in:
• Waterproofing & weather protection: Keeping rain, moisture, dust, and debris out of the cabin, protecting interior trim and preventing rust or water damage.
• Noise insulation: Minimising wind and road noise intrusion - important on older or classic cars where original seals may have deteriorated.
• Glass stability & structural fit: Ensuring the quarter glass remains securely and properly seated, preventing rattles or movement which could lead to leaks or damage over time.
Over time, rubber seals can degrade - becoming hard, brittle, cracked or misshapen. When that happens:
• Water can leak into the cabin, potentially damaging upholstery, carpets, and causing rust or interior corrosion.
• Dust and debris infiltration may occur, reducing cabin cleanliness and air quality.
• Increased wind noise and draft can degrade driving comfort.
• Glass may become unstable, leading to rattles, leaks, or even glass damage.
Replacing the seal ensures the vehicle remains weather-tight, maintains correct structural fitment, and preserves the integrity and comfort of the cabin - particularly important for classic cars where original seals may no longer be available or functional.
Consider replacing the seal if any of the following occur:
• Rubber shows visible cracks, shrinkage, hardening or deformation.
• You experience water leaks or moisture inside the cabin, especially near the quarter window.
• Noticeable wind noise or drafts at higher speeds.
• Dust or debris is entering around the quarter glass seal area.
• The glass feels loose, rattles, or moves slightly within its frame.
• You are restoring or maintaining the car to ensure factory-correct sealing and finish.
