HD Transmission / Gearbox Mount Bush.
Enhance drivetrain control and shifting precision with the HD Transmission / Gearbox Mount Bush.
Engineered for Porsche 964 and 993 C2 models, this heavy-duty mount replaces the soft factory bushing with a stiffer, high-durometer rubber compound that improves gearbox stability and alignment under load.

What This Product Does:

  • Support & Locating Function - The mount holds the gearbox housing in its proper position relative to the chassis. It resists movement under torque, acceleration, braking, or other loads.
  • Vibration Damping / Noise Isolation - The rubber or elastomer absorbs vibration and noise from the transmission so that it doesn’t transmit harshly into the cabin.
  • Control Twist / Deflection Under Load - Under torque or rapid load changes, the transmission tends to twist or shift slightly. A good mount restrains that movement, preserving alignment and reducing strain on connected parts (driveshafts, couplings, etc.).
  • Maintain Drivetrain Geometry - By limiting excessive movement, it helps maintain the correct angles and alignment of drivetrain components, which is important for durability and performance.

Symptoms Of Worn Or Weak Mounts:
  • Thumping, clunking, or bangs when shifting gears, accelerating, or decelerating
  • Excessive vibration or harshness in the cabin, especially at idle or under load
  • Gear lever play or misalignment under load
  • Delayed or vague shift feel, due to movement or flex in the mount
  • Wear on drivetrain components, as undue movement induces stress in shafts, joints, couplings
  • Mount failure (cracks, splitting, excessive deformation) visible on inspection
