The turbocharger uses energy from the engine's exhaust gases to drive a turbine connected to a compressor. The compressor forces a greater volume of air into the engine, allowing the engine-management system to produce increased power and torque while maintaining the intended performance characteristics.

A turbocharger operates at extremely high rotational speeds and temperatures and depends on correct lubrication, cooling, intake airflow and exhaust flow. Bearing wear, oil contamination, damaged compressor or turbine components, actuator problems and oil-supply faults can eventually cause turbocharger performance to deteriorate or fail completely.

What This Product Does:
The turbocharger increases the amount of air supplied to the engine.

Exhaust gases leaving the engine spin the turbocharger's turbine wheel. This turbine is connected by a shaft to a compressor wheel on the intake side.

As the compressor rotates, it compresses the incoming air before it reaches the engine.

This process helps:
