An historically accurate REPLICA - COPY of the Porsche Motorsport Germany 911 Carrera CUP Racing airbox coverlid used in the European 964 Carrera CUP races at FORMULA 1 events.



**Please Be Advised: This product does not include the airbox itself, nor the air filter. It only refers to the lid. 

Direct bolt-on replacement for the factory air box providing increased airflow and power. Made from anodized gold T6061 Aluminum. The gold color mimics the yellow zinc plated OEM hardware that Porsche used in all their air-cooled cars from this era. 

The design of this airbox cover was inspired by factory Porsche Cup Cars. After much on-track testing done by Fabspeed’s Owner on his 993 RSR, he found that using this open filter design netted the best power results, with more flow and cool intake temps.

SOUND:

The factory Carrera airbox is designed to muffle the induction note of the engine to keep it out of the cabin. This airbox lets all that glorious air cooled flat six induction growl into the cabin.

POWER:

With just this modification we saw a 6whp increase over stock thanks to increased airflow.
