This adjustable camshaft sprocket is designed for Porsche 924S, 944 2.5 8V and 944 Turbo models. It allows precise adjustment of camshaft timing to optimise torque delivery, correct timing deviation after engine work and enhance overall driving characteristics.

Engineered as a direct replacement for the original cam pulley, it installs easily and includes a new key and camshaft bolt for safe assembly.

What an Adjustable Camshaft Sprocket Does

The camshaft sprocket controls the timing relationship between the crankshaft and camshaft. By adjusting cam timing, you influence when the valves open and close relative to piston position.

This affects:

By advancing or retarding the camshaft timing, you can shift the torque band higher or lower in the RPM range depending on your intended use.

Correct Timing After Head Work

Many Porsche 924S and 944 engines have had cylinder heads skimmed during overhaul. When material is removed, the head sits lower, slightly retarding cam timing. This adjustable sprocket allows you to correct timing precisely and restore factory performance.

Even factory sprockets can vary slightly in keyway positioning. This gear allows fine correction for accurate timing alignment.

You can safely experiment and feel the difference without needing a dyno session.
