9m Carbon Ceramic Big Brake Kit  – 350mm Front & Rear

Upgrade the braking performance of your Porsche 964 with the 9m Carbon Ceramic Big Brake Kit, designed to replace the original steel brake discs with advanced carbon ceramic technology.

This comprehensive upgrade features 350mm two-piece floating carbon ceramic discs front and rear, combined with uprated 9m/Brembo 6-piston front calipers and 4-piston rear calipers.

Engineered to deliver exceptional braking consistency, reduced weight and improved resistance to brake fade, the kit offers a substantial performance improvement over conventional cast iron braking systems.

The carbon ceramic discs are manufactured using long-strand carbon fibre reinforcement combined with silicon carbide, providing excellent strength, durability and thermal stability.

Each floating disc features a CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminium centre bell, hard anodised for strength, rigidity and corrosion resistance.

The kit is supplied with adaptor brackets, braided brake lines and the required installation hardware.

What Does the 9m Carbon Ceramic Brake Kit Do?

The 9m braking system replaces the original Porsche 964 steel brake discs and calipers with a lightweight, high-performance carbon ceramic arrangement.

The larger 350mm discs and uprated multi-piston calipers provide increased braking capability, while the carbon ceramic construction offers excellent resistance to heat and brake fade.

Reducing brake disc weight also lowers unsprung and rotational mass, helping improve suspension response, handling and steering feel.

Why Upgrade to Carbon Ceramic Brakes?

Compared with conventional cast iron brake discs, carbon ceramic technology offers several performance advantages:

  • Weight reduction of approximately 16kg compared with the conventional cast iron disc arrangement
  • Reduced unsprung mass for improved suspension response
  • Excellent resistance to brake fade under demanding conditions
  • Consistent braking performance at high operating temperatures
  • Superior thermal stability during repeated heavy braking
  • Significantly reduced brake dust with compatible brake pads
  • Improved resistance to corrosion
  • Exceptional durability and long potential service life

Under suitable operating conditions, carbon ceramic discs can achieve very high mileages, although actual service life depends on driving conditions, maintenance and usage.

Two-Piece Floating Carbon Ceramic Discs

The 9m kit uses 350mm floating carbon ceramic discs on both axles.

The friction rings are constructed from long-strand carbon fibre reinforced with silicon carbide, providing a lightweight structure capable of withstanding extreme braking temperatures.

The floating design allows controlled thermal expansion, helping reduce stress during repeated heating and cooling cycles.

Each disc features a precision CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminium centre bell with a hard-anodised finish.

Uprated 9m/Brembo Brake Calipers

The kit includes uprated multi-piston calipers designed to work with the larger carbon ceramic discs.

  • Front: 6-piston calipers
  • Rear: 4- calipers

Complete Brake Upgrade Kit

The 9m Carbon Ceramic Big Brake Kit includes:

  • 350mm front carbon ceramic floating brake discs
  • 350mm rear carbon ceramic floating brake discs
  • CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminium centre bells
  • 9m/Brembo 6-piston front brake calipers
  • 9m/Brembo 4-piston rear brake calipers
  • Brake caliper adaptor brackets

  • Required installation hardware

Confirm the supplied brake pad specification and wheel clearance before installation.

Designed as a performance brake conversion for the Porsche 964 platform. Confirm compatibility with the individual model, existing braking system, wheel dimensions and ABS configuration before ordering.

Porsche 964 Carbon Ceramic Big Brake Kits & Performance Brake Upgrades

The 9m Carbon Ceramic Big Brake Kit provides a comprehensive braking upgrade for Porsche 964 owners seeking reduced weight, improved thermal stability and consistent braking performance.

Featuring 350mm carbon ceramic floating discs on both axles, uprated 9m/Brembo calipers and lightweight billet aluminium centre bells, the system offers significant advantages over traditional cast iron brake arrangements.

Its advanced carbon ceramic construction helps reduce unsprung mass, improve suspension response and maintain braking performance during repeated high-temperature use.

Supplied with adaptor brackets, braided brake lines and installation hardware, the kit is designed as a complete performance brake conversion for the Porsche 964.

Design911 supplies 9m Porsche performance brake kits, carbon ceramic brake discs, uprated calipers and associated braking components for classic and modern Porsche models.

About SPORTS Brake Disc

Experience race-inspired stopping power with Porsche sports brake discs from Design911. Designed for performance driving, these upgraded brake rotors provide greater heat dissipation, improved bite, and enhanced fade resistance, ensuring confidence under even the most demanding conditions.

What They Are & What They Do
Sports brake discs (or rotors) are precision-engineered components that work with brake pads to generate friction and stop the car effectively. Unlike standard discs, sports variants are often drilled, grooved, or slotted, helping to vent heat and gases, improve braking response, and maintain consistent performance during high-speed or repeated stops.

Why They Fail
Over time, brake discs wear down from heat cycles, friction, and corrosion. Common signs of failure include scoring, warping, cracking, or vibration during braking. Track use or aggressive driving can accelerate wear, while low-quality discs may develop hotspots and fade under stress.

Why They Should Be Replaced
Replacing worn or damaged brake discs restores optimal braking efficiency, pedal feel, and vehicle control. New sports discs not only improve performance and safety but also extend pad life and reduce fade, ensuring Porsche’s legendary stopping precision. Design911 offers genuine Porsche discs for factory performance and aftermarket upgrades for enhanced durability and responsiveness.

Whether you’re restoring a classic 911 or tuning a Cayman or Taycan for track use, our range of sports discs combines precision, reliability, and performance to keep your Porsche braking like new.

Aftermarket Performance Brake Discs
High-quality aftermarket discs featuring slotted or drilled designs for superior airflow, reduced fade, and consistent friction performance.

Front Sports Brake Discs
Heavy-duty front rotors built to handle intense braking loads, offering maximum stopping power and stability under pressure.

Rear Sports Brake Discs
Rear discs designed for balanced braking and improved heat management, ensuring control and composure under repeated deceleration.

Drilled & Grooved Brake Rotors
Advanced rotors engineered to dissipate heat, clean brake pads, and deliver responsive braking for track and fast-road applications.

Motorsport & Track Brake Discs
Race-grade rotors made from high-carbon or composite materials, offering unmatched durability and thermal control for competition use.
