• Position: Front stabilizer bar (anti-roll bar) – chassis-mounted bushing.
• Function: Reduces body roll, stabilizes front axle movement, and helps maintain proper suspension balance.
Worn stabilizer bushes can cause:
• Clunking or knocking noises over bumps
• Increased body roll or vague steering response
• Misalignment of the stabilizer bar
• Uneven tyre wear or degraded road feel
Replacing with a Genuine Porsche bushing restores correct bar positioning, suspension tightness and the crisp handling expected from a 911 / 981 / 982.

Anti-Roll Bars (ARB’s) play an important role in a vehicle’s suspension system, helping to reduce body roll by transferring cornering load from one side of a vehicle to the other.
Often mounted to the vehicle’s chassis with rubber bushes, these bushes ensure the bar works as intended. To prevent the anti-roll bar from moving laterally within its mounts when turning, OE manufacturers will either bond the bushes to the bar, add dead-stops to the bar itself, or rely solely on the clamping pressure of the rubber.
But what happens when those bushes wear and need to be replaced? Often anti-roll bars with bonded bushes come as a costly complete assembly, so the alternative is to fit a more cost-effective unbonded polyurethane replacement, like the many we offer.
In most cases, friction from the bush will prevent any side-to-side bar movement. Still, when turning aggressively or cornering at higher speeds, a laterally shifting anti-roll bar decreases the efficiency and effectiveness of the bar, changing the dynamics of your suspension system in unpredictable ways. It also poses the risk of the bar fouling on other areas of the vehicle or suspension system.

Porsche Anti-Roll Bar Bushes | Design911 Suspension Components for Precision, Grip & Stability
Anti-roll bar bushes (also known as stabiliser bar bushes) are small but critical components within your Porsche’s suspension system. They secure the anti-roll bar to the chassis, allowing controlled movement that reduces body roll during cornering and improves handling stability. Properly functioning bushes help maintain suspension geometry, steering precision, and ride comfort — key attributes that define Porsche’s dynamic driving performance.
At Design911, we offer a full range of anti-roll bar bushes, crafted from advanced rubber, polyurethane, and performance-grade materials. Each bushing is engineered for exact fitment, durability, and vibration isolation. Perfect for routine servicing, performance upgrades, or complete restorations, our range helps restore suspension balance and ensures consistent road holding and control.
What Do Anti-Roll Bar Bushes Do?
Anti-roll bar bushes act as cushioning mounts between the anti-roll bar and chassis, absorbing vibration and allowing controlled articulation of the bar.
Core Functions:
• Reduce body roll by supporting bar movement during cornering.
• Provide cushioning to minimise noise and vibration.
• Maintain correct anti-roll bar alignment under load.
• Help distribute cornering forces evenly for improved grip.
• Enhance suspension comfort and steering response.
In good condition, anti-roll bar bushes keep your Porsche stable, predictable, and agile — whether on road, track, or everyday driving.
Why Do Anti-Roll Bar Bushes Fail or Degrade?
Constant flexing, pressure, and exposure to environmental factors gradually wear down bush materials, affecting handling and comfort.
Common Causes of Failure Include:
• Cracking, hardening, or perishing of rubber due to age or heat.
• Oil contamination softening and weakening bush material.
• Corrosion or movement in brackets wearing the bush housing.
• Over-compression or deformation from high-performance driving.
• Excessive vibration causing accelerated wear.
When bushes fail, symptoms often include clunking noises, poor cornering balance, and reduced steering sharpness — all signs that replacement is needed to restore your Porsche’s precision.
Why Replace or Upgrade Your Porsche Anti-Roll Bar Bushes?
Replacing worn bushes restores suspension control, comfort, and steering precision. Upgrading to polyurethane or performance-grade bushes provides sharper handling and greater durability for spirited or track-focused driving.
Key Benefits:
• Restores handling stability and reduces body roll.
• Eliminates suspension noise, vibration, and harshness.
• Improves steering response and cornering feedback.
• Available in rubber and performance polyurethane options.
• Fits Porsche 911, 944, 968, Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, and Macan models.
• Ideal for suspension servicing, restoration, or performance tuning.
Design911’s Porsche anti-roll bar bushes offer precision, performance, and reliability — ensuring your Porsche continues to handle with confidence and control.
