Strut Brace
Fits:
Porsche 986 Boxster
Porsche 987 Boxster
Porsche 987 Cayman
Most Boxster and Cayman owners who take their cars to the track, have equipped their Porsches with tires much wider and stickier than stock, which allows higher g-forces to be achieved in cornering and braking. During that type of hard driving, the 2 piece rear sub frame flexes with the extreme loads being put on them. This negates your car's finely tuned alignment settings, thereby reducing your braking and cornering potential, and increasing tire wear. With this install, your Porsche will handle and brake with greater precision, predictability, and feedback to the driver. Comes with integrated rear tie down brackets and hardware for a 10 minute installation. Also available as a set including front tie downs, or as just the rear tie down set without the stabilizer bar.

One of the easiest and most cost-effective ways to improve your car's handling is the installation of a Rennline strut tower brace. These braces bridge both shock towers, eliminating virtually all camber change that occurs during hard cornering. Not all cars are the same, so Rennline has made their braces fully adjustable, allowing you to set a desired amount of pre-stress. Both the strut bar and brackets are constructed from aircraft grade aluminum, and include stainless steel hardware. Rennline strut tower braces bolt in and out in minutes and require no drilling. Whether you're on the street or on the track you'll feel the difference immediately. This strut brace does allow the use of your plastic cowl cover but small alteration would be required.
Please note some cars might require the ends of the brace cut by approx 10mm each side in order to fit the bar on towers. This might be depending on the location of your top mounts.

Strut Brace
Chassis stiffening devices such as a strut brace adapt to the OEM suspension turrets on Porsche models and help to reduce chassis flex, aiming for more consistent steering feel and response on the road or track.
At Design911, we supply a wide range of strut brace options for Porsche models, from discreet road setups to track-focused hardware, so you can match the installation to how your car is used.
Why do Porsche Strut Brace matter?
A strut brace ties the suspension towers together to resist flex as loads pass through the chassis. On Porsche models this can help the front or rear of the car feel more tied together, especially when combined with other suspension work. Many owners choose a brace as a finishing touch once dampers, bushes and geometry have been refreshed, or when preparing a Porsche for more enthusiastic road or occasional track use.
- Support a more tied-together feel across the front or rear of the car when loaded
- Complement other suspension upgrades and geometry work
- Provide an additional tuning option for fast-road or track-focused builds
- Add a purposeful, motorsport-style look to the engine bay or luggage area

When should you review or replace your Porsche strut brace?
Checking strut brace installations periodically helps you confirm that fixings remain tight, clearances are still correct and the brace continues to suit how your Porsche is used. Although a brace is generally an upgrade rather than a wear part, it still needs to be installed and maintained correctly.
- You are refining a suspension upgrade and want more consistent front- or rear-end feel
- The car is used enthusiastically on twisty roads or for occasional track days
- You notice interference, rattles or contact marks around an existing brace
- You are carrying out wider suspension work and want the chassis setup to feel cohesive
If any of these apply, it is a good time to review your strut brace options and ensure anything fitted is in good condition and correctly installed so your Porsche stays dependable and enjoyable to drive.
