What This Product Does:

  • The washer hose connector links the washer fluid hose to either the headlight washer nozzle (pop-up or non-pop-up) or to the supply line, ensuring the washer fluid is delivered to the headlight washer jets.
  • It must maintain a secure, leak-free connection under vibration, thermal cycling and pressure when the washer system is activated.
  • Ensures that when you trigger the headlight washers (e.g., press the button or activate with wipers), the fluid flows correctly to clean the headlight lens as intended.

Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
  • Washer fluid leaking around the headlight washer nozzle or downstream of it — often a sign the connector is damaged or the hose isn’t secured properly.
  • Headlight washer jets not functioning, or fluid not reaching the headlight nozzles despite the pump activating. This may indicate a broken or disconnected connector.
  • Hose detachment: a hose might have pulled out of the connector, or the clip/insert may be damaged, causing the hose to pop off under pressure.
  • Visible damage or corrosion: the connector or its mounting might show cracks, deformation, corrosion or missing clip.
  • Reduced headlight washer performance: e.g., weak spray, intermittent spray, or only one side works — could be the connector on the non-working side.

Why Replacement Matters:
  • Restoring full functionality: If the headlight washer system fails, headlight lenses may get dirty (especially in winter/snow/salt conditions) reducing visibility and compromising safety.
  • Preventing further leakage: A failed connector may lead to fluid leaks which can drop onto tyres or bodywork, or lead to corrosion of nearby components.
  • Ensuring correct fit & finish: Using the correct Porsche-specified connector ensures the hose and nozzle interface is correct and the system remains reliable.
