A Quick Look at OE Match
OE Match information on this page is based on details supplied by the manufacturer or distributor, plus any OE references provided with the parts.
Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche
Where OE Match is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.
- Often chosen when owners want OE-equivalent quality with sensible running costs, especially for routine service and wear items.
- Typical reasons to replace include restoring reliability, addressing age-related wear, or refreshing multiple components during larger repair work.
- Common defects from incorrect application include noise, premature wear, leaks, or fitment quirks if the wrong variant is selected or fitted with old seals/hardware.
- Watch for symptoms such as unusual noises, early wear, or repeat failures after recent work, which can indicate mismatched parts or supporting items left worn.
- Always cross-check OEM part numbers, read model-year notes, and verify compatibility before ordering.
- For safety-critical components, confirm specification and fitment carefully and have installation checked by a competent technician.
Browse by Category
If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.
Brakes — Brake components are renewed to restore stopping performance, address wear or upgrade a Porsche for fast road or track use. Common symptoms include vibration under braking, longer stopping distances, squealing, pulling to one side, warning lights and visible wear to discs and pads.
Brake Pad Wear Sensors — Brake pad wear sensors are replaced when pads are renewed or when warning lights indicate a broken or worn sensor. Symptoms include brake wear warnings even with new pads, damaged sensor cables, or broken clips around the caliper area.
Engine Electrical — Engine electrical parts are changed when there are starting, charging, ignition, or sensor-related faults that affect drivability and reliability, such as intermittent no-start, misfires, rough idle, poor charging, warning lights or heat-soak failures.
Service Parts — Service parts are replaced as routine maintenance to keep the engine and systems reliable, efficient, and protected, often resolving hard starting, rough idle, poor fuel economy and warning lights caused by clogged filters or worn ignition components.
Service Kits — Service kits bundle key service components to simplify maintenance and set the car back to a known baseline, especially useful when catching up on overdue servicing or dealing with general sluggish running, inconsistent idle and reduced performance.
- For brake parts, confirm whether items are OE-equivalent replacements or performance upgrades and check if new fitting kits and sensors are required.
- On service items and kits, match the kit to your exact Porsche model, engine and year, and review what is included so you can add any extra “while you are there” parts.

The fuse board cover for a Porsche 911/912 is an important component as it protects the fuses and electrical components from dust, dirt and moisture. It is also essential for the safety of the vehicle's electrical system.
The cover should be securely fastened and free of damage or cracks. If the cover is missing or damaged, it should be replaced as soon as possible to avoid potential electrical problems.

Direct replacement alternator fan and impeller housing strap for Porsche 911 (993) models. This strap secures the alternator fan and housing assembly in place, ensuring proper alignment and reliable cooling performance. Built to OE specifications, it matches the fit and strength of the original part while offering excellent durability.
Fit:
Porsche 993 turbo - 1994 to 1997
Diagram ref no 6
Location: Engine bay, securing the alternator fan / impeller housing
What this product does:
• Holds the alternator fan and impeller housing firmly in place
• Ensures proper cooling airflow through the engine
• Maintains alignment of the fan assembly to avoid vibration or damage
With age, the original strap can weaken, stretch, or corrode, making it less effective at securing the housing. If it fails, the fan assembly may loosen, leading to unwanted noise, vibration, or reduced cooling efficiency. Replacing the strap ensures a secure fit and proper tension, keeping your Porsche’s cooling system performing as intended.

We strongly recommend replacing the power steering pump at the same time as the steering rack. Swarf (metal particles) in the power steering system can circulate and cause damage to both components. If you choose to replace only the steering rack and, upon return of your exchange unit, we discover that the rack bar is scored or contaminated with swarf, this indicates that debris is present in the system. In such cases, we advise replacing the pump as well.
Please note: if we have advised that there is swarf in the system and you choose not to replace both components, any future warranty claims related to this issue will not be valid.
Terms & Conditions - Exchange Purchase:
The surcharge for this product will be refunded only after your existing steering rack has been:
1.) Removed from your vehicle
2.) Returned to us at your own expense
3.) Accepted by the manufacturer as suitable for reconditioning
Please note that the assessment and approval of the returned unit is solely at the discretion of the manufacturer.
Refund processing times typically range from 1 to 2 weeks after the unit is received. However, in some cases, it may take up to 8 weeks for the manufacturer to complete their evaluation and issue approval.
All exchange purchases and surcharge refunds are subject to our full Terms & Conditions, available on our website.

Why replace this push rod?
- Broken/ sheared plastic ball/socket — a frequent failure mode. When the white plastic ball or cup fractures the linkage can detach or move incorrectly, causing the roof to jam, mis-align or fail to latch. Forum reports show this is a common and recurring issue on 986/987 Boxsters.
- Wear and play — worn pivots or loosened joints produce excess movement that causes the roof to mis-index, make clunks, or fail to fully engage the latches.
- Bent or corroded rod — impact or corrosion can change geometry so the roof mechanism binds or the hood doesn’t seal flush.
- Prevent secondary damage — a failing push rod may cause added stress to adjacent linkages, actuators or latch components. Replacing a worn/broken push rod early prevents more expensive repairs later.
Common symptoms that indicate replacement is needed
- Roof won’t fully open or close; operation stalls.
- Roof handle/actuator feels loose or has excessive play.
- Loud clunking or grinding noises during roof travel.
- Roof latches don’t engage or the soft-top sits misaligned.
- Visible crack or missing plastic ball/socket at the rod ends.
