This comprehensive kit is engineered to provide a full replacement of the thermostat assembly and associated cooling parts that regulate engine temperature. It includes an OE Match thermostat and thermostat cover, genuine Porsche mounting bolts and seals, an OE Match coolant temperature sensor, adapter and multiple O-rings and gaskets - giving you a complete solution instead of piecemeal parts.

  This kit fits directly in place of the stock thermostat assembly and related parts; no modifications are necessary.  

The thermostat system controls the flow of coolant from the engine to the radiator based on temperature. When the engine is cold, the thermostat remains closed to allow the engine to warm up quickly. As temperature rises, it opens to let coolant pass to the radiator for heat dissipation. Coolant temperature is an important operating parameter. The ECU can use this information when managing functions such as fuel delivery, ignition strategy, cooling-system operation and other temperature-dependent engine controls, depending on the vehicle specification.

The sensor operates across a wide temperature range and is continually subjected to engine heat, coolant exposure and repeated heating and cooling cycles.
