About OE Match

OE Match for Porsche

OE Match is a brand that provides a wide range of Porsche components, from gaskets to suspension hardware, engine parts, and interior trim. Over 6,700 individual part numbers, and over 11,800 OE cross-references catalogued, and are constantly developing new lines.OE Match has over 100 new products currently in the engineering phase, which will be quality-controlled and added to their catalog. The mission is to keep all Porsche vehicles on the road by offering a vast selection of parts that can address various problems across different Porsche generations.

A Quick Look at OE Match

OE Match information on this page is based on details supplied by the manufacturer or distributor, plus any OE references provided with the parts.

Choosing the Right Fit for Your Porsche

Where OE Match is listed for Porsche, use the supplied model coverage and OE references to confirm suitability. Check details that commonly affect fitment such as model year, side/position, and connector type where relevant.

  • Often chosen when owners want OE-equivalent quality with sensible running costs, especially for routine service and wear items.
  • Typical reasons to replace include restoring reliability, addressing age-related wear, or refreshing multiple components during larger repair work.
  • Common defects from incorrect application include noise, premature wear, leaks, or fitment quirks if the wrong variant is selected or fitted with old seals/hardware.
  • Watch for symptoms such as unusual noises, early wear, or repeat failures after recent work, which can indicate mismatched parts or supporting items left worn.
  • Always cross-check OEM part numbers, read model-year notes, and verify compatibility before ordering.
  • For safety-critical components, confirm specification and fitment carefully and have installation checked by a competent technician.

Browse by Category

If you already know the area you are working on, start with the category and then filter by Porsche model. Where real-world symptoms and typical reasons to replace are provided, use them to keep the wording grounded.

Brakes — Brake components are renewed to restore stopping performance, address wear or upgrade a Porsche for fast road or track use. Common symptoms include vibration under braking, longer stopping distances, squealing, pulling to one side, warning lights and visible wear to discs and pads.

Brake Pad Wear Sensors — Brake pad wear sensors are replaced when pads are renewed or when warning lights indicate a broken or worn sensor. Symptoms include brake wear warnings even with new pads, damaged sensor cables, or broken clips around the caliper area.

Engine Electrical — Engine electrical parts are changed when there are starting, charging, ignition, or sensor-related faults that affect drivability and reliability, such as intermittent no-start, misfires, rough idle, poor charging, warning lights or heat-soak failures.

Service Parts — Service parts are replaced as routine maintenance to keep the engine and systems reliable, efficient, and protected, often resolving hard starting, rough idle, poor fuel economy and warning lights caused by clogged filters or worn ignition components.

Service Kits — Service kits bundle key service components to simplify maintenance and set the car back to a known baseline, especially useful when catching up on overdue servicing or dealing with general sluggish running, inconsistent idle and reduced performance.

  • For brake parts, confirm whether items are OE-equivalent replacements or performance upgrades and check if new fitting kits and sensors are required.
  • On service items and kits, match the kit to your exact Porsche model, engine and year, and review what is included so you can add any extra “while you are there” parts.

Lambda oxygen sensor AFTER CAT Porsche 996 / 997 / GT3

oematch

Fits:
Porsche 996 C2/4 02>> (after catalytic converter)
*Cars with M661 stricter emission control concept

Porsche 997 C2/4 >>05 (after catalytic converter)

Porsche 996 GT3 MKII 04>> (after catalytic converter)

Function:
The Oxygen Sensor (also known as Lambda Sensor) is located in the exhaust manifold and measures the amount of unburned oxygen in your engine's exhaust. Based on the amount of oxygen, it sends a signal to your engine computer which then adjusts the air/fuel mixture for optimum engine performance and emission control.

Failure Symptoms:
Excessive fuel consumption, a faulty oxygen sensor can waste 30% of your fuel.
Driveability problems, such as engine surging or hesitation.
High hydrocarbon emissions, failing an emissions inspection.
The engine warning light may be on or service flag displayed.
The ecu/computer stores a mixture-related fault code.
When the oxygen sensor has stopped functioning completely, the catalytic converter may overheat and fail

Maintenance/Service:
Test and/or replace every 30,000 miles.
Perform periodic emission checks.
Watch for service light.
Vehicle manufacturers recommend periodic inspection and replacement of oxygen sensor.

Rotor Arm for Marelli Distributor

Fits:
Porsche 911 2.0L/2.2L 1965-73 (NOT 2.4L)

The "rotor" head is attached to the top of the distributor shaft which is driven by a gear on the engine's camshaft and thus synchronized to it. This rotor is pressed against a carbon brush on the center terminal of the distributor cap which connects to the ignition coil either through the top and wired directly to the coil in HEI systems, or via the center terminal in points ignition systems and remotely connected to the coil.

The rotor is constructed such that the center tab is electrically connected to its outer edge so that voltage coming in to the center post travels through the carbon point to the outer edge of the rotor. As the camshaft rotates, the rotor spins and its outer edge passes each of the internal plug terminals to fire each spark plug.

Please note that Porsche has discontinued their official product.

Electric window switch
This switch operates the power window mechanism in the Porsche 928, delivering reliable up/down control for the driver or passenger side window.
Sold each

Fits:
Porsche 928 1978 - 89

Power window switches are used frequently and can wear over time, leading to sticking buttons, intermittent operation, or total failure. A failing switch can result in windows that won’t move reliably, which can be inconvenient and impact vehicle comfort and security.

The OE Match window switch installs easily into the factory door panel opening and connects directly to the original plug-in harness. It’s ideal for replacing a malfunctioning, worn, or cosmetically degraded switch during interior servicing or restoration.

The window switch sends electrical commands to the window motor, allowing the driver or passenger to raise or lower the window glass with a simple press. Reliable switch operation is essential for comfort, convenience, and safe egress.

Why Replace Your Rear Engine Lid Damper?

  • Over time, the gas strut supporting the engine lid can lose pressure, leading to:
  • Engine lid failing to stay open: The lid may fall unexpectedly, posing a risk of injury.
  • Difficulty accessing the engine bay: A sagging or dropping lid can hinder maintenance tasks.
  • Increased wear on hinges and mounting points: Excessive load due to a weak damper can cause premature wear.
  • Replacing the damper restores proper functionality, ensuring safety and ease of access to the engine compartment.

Common Issues with Rear Engine Lid Dampers

  • Loss of gas pressure: Over time, the internal gas can leak, reducing the strut's ability to support the lid.
  • Corrosion: Exposure to elements can cause rust, compromising the damper's integrity.
  • Physical damage: Accidental impacts or wear can damage the strut, leading to failure.

Replacement front lid damper, Stops the lid falling. Hood lift supports—also known as gas struts—are pressurized cylinders that help hold your vehicle’s hood open safely. Over time, these supports can weaken as internal pressure drops. Exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, and other contaminants can accelerate wear. Cold weather is especially tough on gas struts, often reducing internal pressure and causing the hood to feel heavier or difficult to keep open.

Signs Your Hood Lift Support Is Failing

  • The hood feels heavier or no longer stays open as high as it used to, often due to internal gas leakage.
  • Visible grease or oil leaking from the lift supports.
  • Creaking, squeaking, or seeping noises when raising the hood or trunk.
  • The hood or trunk no longer stays open on its own after lifting.
