Clutch bolt spring washer.
This spring washer works in conjunction with the clutch bolt to help maintain proper preload and tension in the clutch assembly. The spring washer is designed to compensate for vibration, thermal cycling, and torque fluctuation — helping prevent the bolt from loosening under heavy engine operation.
Sold individually, 9 required per car.

Fits:
Porsche 930 3.0L 1975 - 1977

Diagram ref no 4.

Applications:
Clutch assembly maintenance: Replace worn or fatigued fastener hardware during clutch overhaul
Routine service: Use when reinstalling clutch cover or pressure plate to ensure correct torque retention
Restoration builds: Maintain authenticity with Porsche OE-specified hardware
Vibration-sensitive fastener application: Ensures secure seat where torque fluctuation is common

Fitment / Position on Car
Installed on: Clutch assembly (typically between bolt head & mating surface)
Position: Used with specific clutch mounting bolts in the 930 Turbo 3.0L driveline
• Hardware set: Sold per washer - necessary quantity varies by clutch bolt set
• Service note: Replace as part of a clutch hardware refresh or whenever clutch bolts are removed

Fasteners in performance driveline systems such as the clutch are not generic - they must be engineered to withstand torque, heat, and vibration specific to the application. This Porsche Genuine OE spring washer is manufactured with the correct spring rate, thickness, and material, ensuring that clutch bolts retain proper preload and reduce the risk of loosening under operational stress. Using generic washers can lead to improper preload, potential clutch disengagement issues, and accelerated wear.
